(July 5-27) – Quinn Simmons (Lidl-Trek) earned the inaugural 2025 Tour de France Super Teammate Award, which recognizes the rider who distinguished himself most through dedication to his team. Sporting his Stars and Stripes jersey throughout the Tour, Simmons, 24, set the pace to help his Italian teammate and top sprinter Jonathan Milan win the green jersey, while logging nearly 400 kilometers in breakaway efforts.
The four other Americans competing at this year’s Tour also made their presence known throughout 21 stages and three weeks of racing.
Sepp Kuss (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) was the top-placing American on GC, in 17th place, and along with Matteo Jorgenson (Team Visma | Lease a Bike), helped teammate Jonas Vingegaard battle to a 2nd place finish.
Neilson Powless (EF Education-EasyPost) successfully completed his sixth Tour, while first-timer Will Barta (Movistar Team), earned 6th on the mountainous sixth stage for his best result.

(August 2) – Just six days after completing the Tour de France, Neilson Powless (EF Education-EasyPost) placed 6th at Clásica San Sebastián, a 211 kilometer road race held in Spain’s Basque country. The five-hour race was won by Italian Giulio Ciccone followed by Swiss rider Jan Christen, with a group of five including Powless sprinting for the final podium spot. Powless previously won the race in 2021.

(August 4-10) – After two stages of the Tour of Poland, Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) sits in 6th place on GC. The weeklong race ends with a time trial on Sunday.

(July 27) – The streets of Chicago served as stop number 5 of the USA Cycling Criterium National Series in partnership with the American Criterium Cup.
Racing under the elevated train tracks in the city’s Fulton Market district, national criterium championKendall Ryan (L39ion of Los Angeles) won the pro women’s race and Richard Holec (Cadence Cyclery) won the men’s pro race, both sprinting to wins at ChicagoGrit Fulton Market Grand Prix.
Aline Seitz (UTC Butcherbox) and Bryony Botha (Fearless Femme Racing) came in 2nd and 3rdbehind Ryan. Danny Summerhill (L39ion of Los Angeles) and Maurice Ballerstedt (Baller) placed 2nd and 3rd behind Holec.

(July 29-August 3) – Nearly 3,500 elite, challenge, and masters class riders came to Copenhagen to contend for world championship jerseys at the city’s 400 meter outdoor track.
Team USA’s junior women took the spotlight, with Alexis Alden (Albe’s Bike Shop) earning bronze in the junior women’s final and Derin Merten (Race Inc) placing 4th. National Champion Payton Ridenour (Union Square Sneakers) placed 10th.
(July 24-27) – Kailey Skelton (Ari Factory Racing) won the pro women’s final and Alden Pate(Commencal North America) won the pro men’s race at round three of the Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series, held just outside Salt Lake City at Solitude Mountain Resort.
Maylei Leaneagh (Zerode, The Ride Guru, TRP, Handup, and RKToptics) was 2nd and Kallie Stewart (BGR Mondraker/Ohlins, Monster Army, Pedro’s) was 3rd in the elite women’s race. Dante Silva (Intense Racing USA / Monster Army) was 2nd and Aaron Gwin (Gwin Racing) was 3rd in the elite men’s race. Cyclists from ages 11-12 through 50+ competed throughout the weekend.
The series is five rounds of racing, wrapping up September 25-28 at the Fox US Open of Mountain Biking, at Killington Resort, Vermont.

(July 31-August 3) – Kailey Skelton (Ari Factory Racing) and Ryan Pinkerton (Mondraker Factory Racing) earned Elite Downhill National Titles at the 2025 USA Cycling Gravity Mountain Bike National Championships and Round 4 of the Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series, at Big Bear Mountain Resort. It was Skelton’s third elite national title.
Aletha Ostgaard (Canyon CLLCTV Factory Team) was 2nd and Matilda Melton (Commencal-Schwalbe by Les Orres) was 3rd. In the men’s race, Evan Medcalf (Commencal USA, Bikeworks, TLD) was 2nd and Dakotah Norton(Mondraker Factory Racing) was 3rd.
Junior women and men raced with the elite women and men for their titles, with Aletha Ostgaard (Canyon CLLCTV Factory Team) earning the Junior 17-18 national title and Junior Downhill World Champion Asa Vermette (Frameworks Racing / 5DEV) earning the Junior 17-18 men’s title. Matilda Melton (Commencal-Schwalbe by Les Orres) was 2nd and Samantha Porras (KoreNorth, Monster Army, SSB) was 3rd behind Ostgaard. For the junior men, Bode Burke (Commencal-Schwalbe by Les Orres) was 2nd and Luke Mallen (Outlaw Commencal Factory Development) was 3rd.
In Dual Slalom, Isabella Naughton (Flagstaff, Ariz.; KHS Pro MTB Team) won the Elite Women’s Dual Slalom National title, and Dante Silva (Chula Vista, Calif.; Intense Racing USA / Monster Army) earned the Elite Men’s title. McKenna Merten (Tempe, Ariz.; KHS Pro MTB) was 2nd and Sophie Allen (Woodland Hills, Calif.; Mondraker USA, Worldwide Cyclery) 3rd in the women’s race. Austin Warren (Alpine, Calif.; Evil Bicycles, Fast House, Kenda) was 2nd and Eddie Reynolds(Coronado, Calif.; Fox MTB, Kona, Deity) in the elite men’s race.

(July 25-26) – Eighteen-year-old Asa Vermette (Frameworks Racing/5DEV) became the youngest winner ever at Red Bull Hardline, the invitation-only competition for the world’s best downhill racers. Tackling a brutal course packed with huge jumps and technical challenges, the 2024 junior world champion qualified fastest during Saturday’s run. As the last rider to go on Sunday, he beat his qualifying time by nearly five seconds to take the win.

(July 24-27) – Forty national championship titles were awarded over four days of racing at this year’s junior track championships, held at the Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome in Redmond.
More than 100 juniors from around the country competed in Pursuit, Sprint, Time Trial, Scratch, Points Race, Keirin, Elimination, Team Sprint and Team Pursuit.
