Allison Jones is one of the most accomplished multi-sport Paralympians in U.S. history, having represented Team USA in both cycling and alpine skiing. Born without a right femur and missing her right leg above the knee, Jones began skiing and cycling at age five and never looked back.
She made her Paralympic debut in alpine skiing at the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City and went on to compete in every Summer and Winter Paralympics through 2016. Over the course of her eight Paralympic appearances, she earned eight medals – two gold, three silver, and three bronze – across both sports.
Jones has also had an extraordinary World Championship career, winning 31 medals, including 13 gold. Her versatility and longevity in sport are unmatched, with highlights ranging from a gold medal in slalom at the 2006 Winter Paralympics in Turin to a cycling time trial gold at the London 2012 Summer Games.
Outside of competition, Allison loves spending time in the outdoors mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, and camping. A passionate traveler, she collects Coca-Cola bottles from around the world and enjoys building LEGO sets during her downtime.
Allison and her wife Sara have a house full of animals with a dog named Rammer, two cats named Miles and Davis, and three chickens, Hedwig, RuPaul, and Beetle Juice.
