Dennis is a decorated U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a Paralympic silver medalist, and a two-time UCI Para-cycling World Champion. A traumatic brain injury and stroke survivor, Dennis continues to defy expectations as both a world-class athlete and stay-at-home dad.
Originally from California and now living in Beaverton, Oregon, Dennis served nine years in the Marines, completing three combat deployments to Iraq. He began cycling in 2016 with Project Hero, a veterans' nonprofit, and turned competitive in 2019. After suffering a second stroke in 2020, Dennis transitioned to the trike category.
As the only male trike rider on the U.S. Paralympic Team, Dennis claimed silver in the Road Race at the Paris 2024 Games. He is the 2023 and 2024 UCI Men’s Trike Road Race World Champion, a 12-time World Cup medalist, and an 8-time U.S. national champion.
Dennis is also a national champion para rock climber, winning titles in 2022 and 2024. A lifelong climber and former member of the able-bodied U.S. Junior Climbing Team, he now competes in the RP2 category and dreams of making the newly added Paralympic climbing team for Los Angeles 2028.
Off the bike and the wall, Dennis is a devoted father and husband. He and his wife, Krista, are raising their two kids with a love of the outdoors, biking, kayaking, climbing, or skiing together in Bend and Lake Tahoe.
