Samantha’s path to elite cycling began long before she ever lined up for a road race. She first entered endurance sport through mountain biking, drawn to the challenge and independence it offered. After undergoing a limb‑lengthening surgery in her teens, she turned to rowing as a way to rebuild strength and identity.
Her talent on the water earned her a full athletic scholarship to the University of Central Florida, where she rowed for two years before injury led to pivoting back to cycling. What began as a way to stay active quickly revealed world‑class potential, setting her on a trajectory to become one of the most accomplished paracyclists in the United States.
Representing the United States, Samantha has earned over two dozen World Championship medals, including six world titles, along with multiple World Cup victories and podiums across both road and track. She is known for her versatility, with international medals in the time trial, pursuit, road race, and team events, and for her ability to deliver across multiple disciplines and seasons. Her standout achievements include a Paralympic Gold in the women’s C4 time trial at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, two bronze medals at the 2016 Paralympic Games, multiple World Championship titles in the time trial and road race, a handful of ParaPan American Games golds, and consistent World Cup success.
Known for her versatility, perseverance, and consistency, Samantha continues to compete at the highest level as a member of the U.S. National Team. She also races professionally with Caldera Medical x AuRea Racing, contributing her experience, speed, and leadership to the team’s growing presence in women’s cycling.
